Kalbarri Pelican Feeding - One of many things to do in Kalbarri is the daily Pelican feeding which occurs at 8.45 am on the foreshore, numbers vary at different times of the year with an average of 4 pelicans each day.
Kalbarri Pink Lake - Also known as Hutt Lagoon, the lake boasts a pink hue created by presence of carotenoid-producing algae Dunaliella salina, a source of carotene, a food-colouring agent and source of vitamin A. Depending on the time of day, the season (time of year) and the amount of cloud cover, the lake changes through the spectrum of red to bubble-gum pink to a lilac purple. The best time of day to visit is mid-morning or sundown.
Hutt Lagoon can be easily accessed by road along the George Grey Drive, between Port Gregory and Kalbarri.
Blue Holes Kalbarri - Renowned for exceptional snorkelling and super safe for kids to splash about in too! The protected waters and rock pools make the Kalbarri Blue Holes a natural aquarium for marine life. Explore the protected waters of the Indian Ocean and be amazed by a myriad of stunning fish and other marine life swimming in the tranquil waters and crawling along the ocean floor.
Kalbarri National Park - There are many things to do in Kalbarri National Park including exploring the lower reaches of the Murchison River, which has cut a magnificent 80 kilometre gorge through the red and white banded sandstone to create formations such as Natures Window/The Loop, Z-Bend and Hawks Head, with scenic gorge views at the Ross Graham Lookout and views of the town and river mouth at Meanarra Hill. Perched right on the cliff-top, the Kalbarri Skywalks are two 100-metre-high lookouts project 25 and 17 metres beyond the rim of the Murchison Gorge. Visitors can venture out onto the new Skywalks and enjoy incredible views of the spectacular gorge and surrounding environment.

February-March Long Weekend
The Kalbarri Fishing Classic offers categories in game fishing and bottom fishing with teams of 2 to 5 anglers and an individual kayak and river category are invited to compete in this prestigious tournament where some of the best fishing is available within the state for more than $15,000 worth of great prizes. We also have runner up prizes for the individual champion trophies again this year bringing the total number of categories up to 41.

This event is held at Chinaman's Beach Shelter every year in the Sept/Oct school holidays on the Thursday morning of both weeks. Fun day full of activities!
